On Monday March 16th at 8 a.m. ET, join the third of a four-part webinar series organized by Cornell University Library that brings together librarians and thought leaders around the world to address the challenges outlined by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

“The Global Impact of Open Access and How Academic Libraries Can Help Shape It” will focus on how Open Access repositories can contribute to work being done in furtherance of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and how academic libraries can help best support these endeavors..   This webinar will be hosted by Gerald Beasley, the Carl A. Kroch University Librarian of Cornell University, in conversation with the following guest speakers:

·       Dr. Abrizah Abdullah, Professor at the Department of Library & Information Science, University of Malaya
·       Dr. Solomon Mekonnen, Assistant Professor and Open Access Coordinator at the Addis Ababa University
·       Abel Packer, co-founder of SciELO - the Scientific Electronic Library Online
